In Search Engine Optimization, the more data we have, the more we can make better decisions.
Hence, to help webmasters and search specialists make better decisions, Bing Webmaster tools is now going to retain 24 months of data.
This 24 months of data can help users to better analyze the historical trends of a website.
Earlier, similar to Google Search Console, Bing Webmaster Tools also have 16 months of data but now they have upgraded it to have 24 months of data.
Apart from increasing the data retention period, the Bing Webmaster Tools has also added two new filters.
The first one to filter the data at country level whereas the second one to filter by device.
These three new features in Bing Webmaster Tools came into limelight when Krishna Madhavan, the principal product manager of Microsoft Bing explained about it in a LinkedIn post.
Now, as you can see in the screenshot below, the webmaster tools has new option to show data for 24 months.

Also, a new filter to show the website performance (basically clicks and impressions) in different countries across the world.

So, from now on if you rely only on Google Search Console to plot analyze a website’s historical trend, you can take help from Bing Webmaster tools as well, because it provides you more data in the timeline.
